Natixis was created in 2006 through the merger of Banques Populaires' and Caisses d'Epargne's asset gathering and CIB activities. Its two parents merged in 2010 to create BPCE.
Natixis has four main businesses: CIB, asset & wealth management, insurance and specialised financial services. Coface is a non-core assets awaiting disposal.
